We promote the future of the Goldendoodle breed by maintaining their excellent health status, temperaments and versatile breed characteristics. We breed selectively for conformational correctness per GANA's Goldendoodle Breed Standard, which Cindy was invited to write due to her expertise. Genetics, proper structure, and staying abreast of current and future health issues have always been our focus.
Generations
|
HistoryThe first Goldendoodles were introduced in the 90's, most likely as a result of the popularity of the Australian-created Labradoodle. The athleticism, loyalty, eagerness to please and exceptional disposition of the Golden Retriever combined with the extreme intelligence, low/no shed coat and hypoallergenic tendency of the Poodle results in an adorable, intelligent, loving and versatile family pet. The Goldendoodle is also growing in popularity as a service dog.
The variations in size, coats and colors of the breed is another huge selling point for those looking for a wonderful family pet. The Goldendoodle Association of North America (GANA) is the first and only official breed club for the Goldendoodle, and the dedication and commitment of GANA breeders assures the breed will remain the same wonderful breed in the future. |

CoatsThe correct Goldendoodle coat is either curly, wavy or straight.

GroomingFrequent grooming is a necessity for this breed as, without it, matting will occur. Mats are painful and can cause health problems, so the coat must be maintained on a regular basis. Before you commit to owning a Goldendoodle, check with your local groomers on their experience with the breed and prices for regular grooming. We are happy to help you get started with grooming your own dog, vs using a professional.
